A few guys got into some pockets of fish. Mostly ones and twos throughout the day.  Most anglers were at Buttonwood and Bluegrass , so thats where the most were caught

Try a lead head with a piece of  nightcrawler , sometimes on the slow days that works.

Another River Myth: You cant use live bait during the walleye run. ”  False, untrue, and wrong. Hook up a worm and cast away.

A reminder that the Maumee river is formed at the confluence of the St Joseph and St Mary  rivers, at Ft Wayne, IN and meanders northeast ward for 137 miles through a mostly agricultural region , before flowing into the Maumee Bay of Lake Erie. So when The Ft Wayne area gets significant weather in one form or another the river levels and temps are affected here in Maumee/Toledo area. . All the warmer flow is going to bring in that first big school of walleye. Get your stringers ready .

Yesterday we did get some weather in the region , some good rain. Looks like that water may eventually make it into the river and bring the level up a bit. Again we are thinking with the increase in the water level we should see that first good push of spawning walleye come up. We will know more as the day progresses, I will keep you posted.

Have fun , be safe and good luck fishing.
