Wading to Bluegrass Island is  not safe , just a little high still

Walleye rules lifted as of yesterday .

The sunrise/sunset rule has been lifted . The walleye limit is still six . And more than one hook is allowed.

Treble hooks as well.

Rooster tails and chatter baits are white bass slayers.

Fresh batch of emerald shiners in stock!

Leeches in stock

Brrr, 39 degrees this morning, that and the next few days of 40 degree nights is gonna cool that river back down. Still walleye in the river. Limits al the way up to april 30th. Look like most walleye fishermen quit about 3 weeks early this year. We saw some big females the last 10 days – fishing pressure was very low as most angles quit right as soon as one white bass was posted on the internet . Regardless it was some really good fishing for the guys that stuck around.

White bass are in the river now, might be slow in the mornings  coming off these cold nights.  But usually when the sun warms up round noon , they get pretty active.

White perch are biting well .

Small #4 or #6 hook with a piece of worm just off the bottom does the trick for these guys.

White Street, and  Orleans , will be good for today for white bass and white perch.

Jerome, Buttonwood and Davis overlook for walleye.

Since last week  the white bass have been moving in-should be in there  thick and heavy . They should also be up in swan creek by now.

Twister tails in white, silver and green have been really good baits.

The cold yesterday slowed it down a bit but a good number of anglers still got a few.

Have fun ,be safe and good luck fishing
