The rain we got yesterday in the region has the river on a very slow rise. Over the next day or two it should come up about a foot; came up a few inches overnight. Still several feet below normal, however. Today is looking cloudy and calm so we might actually start to see some of those white bass pulled in. They like it when we get an extra drop or two of water in the river. We are still seeing some of those walleye caught out at bluegrass Island and buttonwood. They are liking that faster water right now. If you’re going to target white bass, hike on over the white street access ( Im not sure if the parking lot is opened back up) , Orleans park or along the towpath.
From what I’m seeing on the internet posts it looks like the white bass are in pretty thick and heavy over at Sandusky River. We are usually a few days behind whatever they have going on over there. As soon as we get some good reports of good numbers, I will let you know.
Have fun be safe and good luck fishing
