Crossing to Bluegrass island  – not recommended  today , water is just a bit too high

Colors: I’m gonna try some of the old reliable Berkeley  Xmas lights  tail /with a green head. That combo just about always does the trick .

No fish brought up to the shop yesterday. That wind was howling most of the day , combined with the cold it was cutting right through you.

Today some light rain and snow but no howling wind so maybe  we will see a few pulled in.

Do you need a wading net?

Most walleye anglers always carry a net, because not every walleye is an easy snatch  and release, especially in that current . By minimizing handling, a net help reduce stress on the fish,  which is good for catch-and-release fishing. They have teeth. Sharp teeth.  Train that net man up if you choose to have someone else net your fish. More on that later.

Also…what if you catch a monster and don’t have it…?!?

Have fun, be safe and good luck fishing.
