Not a whole lot to report on the Maumee after last weeks excitement( Feb 7th/ 8th/9th -give or take)  of a nice batch of very early walleye being caught out on the river.  Once the warm spell passed and the temps dropped again, the action dropped right off.  As usual we are looking at early March for the run to begin in earnest. That is when the waters warm up to the low 40s , the fishes biological clocks sound off, and they head up to spawn.

However nobody thought any  walleye would be caught the first week of February either , so…….see ya on the river.
